Consultation Services

The Center has a proven track record of providing intensive technical assistance and consultation services (including one-on-one consultation, site visits and group facilitation) to over 150 cities and communities, both within and outside of California. Those communities include rural, suburban, and urban areas and are ethnically and economically diverse. We provide a variety of consultation services to help groups develop, implement and sustain community improvements. Selected services are listed below. Sustainability

Because the quest for sustainability is often added to the job duties of someone with a full workload, you may benefit from consultation. The Center has developed a 10-step process to help groups make strategic decisions about what should be continued and how to continue it (see Sustainability Toolkit). We can assist in a number of ways:

Introduce the 10-step sustainability process to your organization/coalition
Provide guidance and facilitation to walk your group through the 10 steps
Conduct an introductory session at a conference/training

The Community Compass© program is a flexible visioning, assessment and strategic planning service. The focus is to help communities evaluate where their community is today, their desired future and how they’re going to accomplish their goals. With reliable information and consensus—representing the perspectives of multiple sectors within the community—the community can move forward in a more inclusive way.
