AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety Senior Driver Website
This Automobile Association of America (AAA) website provides valuable resources and publications addressing "Driving Safely" (tips and guides on staying safe on the road), and concentrating on specific issues with which many seniors have difficulty, such as "Giving Up Keys" is a section for families and individuals. The site also covers planning for that time when driving is no longer a viable alternative, and offers a section meant specifically for providers of senior supplemental transportation systems.
Aging Blueprint
An American College of Sports Medicine project which seeks to increase physical activity among adults age 50 and older became a reality in large part due to the dedicated work of the Blueprint Steering committee which consisted of members from the following organizations: AARP, American College of Sports Medicine, American Geriatrics Society, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The National Council on the Aging, The National Institute on Aging and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

A comprehensive information program designed to promote community conversations that can lead to increased driver safety and more transportation choices for adults ages 65 and older, and stimulate communities to assess the need for and, if needed, offer transportation choices more responsive to the needs of older adults.

An online resource designed to provide people with disabilities with quick and easy access to the information they need, provides access to disability-related information and programs available across the government on numerous subjects, including benefits, civil rights, community life, education, employment, housing, health, technology and transportation.
ElderSafety.org
A web site that provides information, training, and resources to help improve the safe mobility of seniors in the community, and seeks to facilitate a collaborative, public health systems approach to increase the number of California seniors who remain safely mobile in their communities and are able to successfully age in place.

This interactive website offers practical tools, information, and resources for everyone with a stake in the aging and driving issues, and features best practice transportation alternatives and innovative pilot programs that demonstrate how to address the great mobility needs of the future.
Independent Transportation Network
A commercial web site that provides rides with door-to-door, arm-through-arm service to thousands of seniors nationwide, offers a model for communities with unique programs that allow older people to trade their own cars to pay for rides, and enable volunteer drivers to store transportation credits for their own future transportation needs, and a Road Scholarship Program that converts volunteer credits into a fund for low-income riders.

A 30-year old international non-profit organization, based in Boston, committed to advancing the role of design in expanding opportunity and enhancing experience for people of all ages and abilities, balances expertise in legally required accessibility with promotion of best practices in human-centered or universal design.
National Resource Center for Safe Aging
Gathers and shares the best information and resources on senior safety, including fall prevention, pedestrian and motor vehicle safety, and prevention of elder abuse.

A commercial web site that helps people find walkable places to live by calculating the walkability of an address by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc. , and measuring how easy it is to live a car-lite lifestyle—not how pretty the area is for walking.
Walkable
Promotes walkability as the cornerstone of a successful, vibrant community, and puts urban environments back on a scale for sustainability of resources (both natural and economic) which leads to more social interaction, physical fitness, and diminished crime and social problems.
Walkable Neighborhoods for Seniors
Project focuses on increasing the “walkability” of neighborhoods for seniors, and works toward identifying the personal, physical, and environmental barriers that prevent older adults from feeling safe, secure, and comfortable when walking throughout our communities.
