Cities as Partners in Community-Based Public Health

This brief focuses on Community-Based Public Health efforts accomplished in partnership with cities.

Joan M. Twiss, M.A., Director of the Center for Civic Partnerships, was invited to write this policy brief because of her many years of experience in promoting city involvement in Community-Based Public Health (CBPH). She has also worked with several of the Partnership for the Public's Health (PPH) partnerships and local health departments in building healthier communities and in improving population health.
